Over the years, I have met some remarkable people in psychology, many of them years, even decades, older than me (although that’s getting harder and harder).  When I had occasion to introduce them or to speak about them, I took time to study their work and what they stood for.  I attended to what was visible about their achievement and less visible.  I tried to communicate the essence of their work to others even if I had just a few sentences.  I reprint some of these speeches here, including sadly, some eulogies.
